Backend Engineer

About the RoleThis role will provide application support to our operations. Primary duties include identifying, responding to, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to applications and services, ensuring optimal performance and satisfactions for users and drivers.Reporting to the local technical team leader, you will collaborate closely with the local engineering and operations teams, as well as HQ engineering teams, to provide support, identify areas for improvement, and contribute to the enhancements that drive the overall success of  products. Additionally, you'll provide hands-on technical support duringand after rollout, help localize and adapt systems, to support regional operations.ResponsibilitiesProvide technical support to end-to-end mobile applicationsCoordinate closely with local and HQ engineering teamsTroubleshoot technical issues collaborate with team membersCustomize tech tools for local data compliance and optimize workflowsHandle issues involving sensitive data with highest level of integrityEngage in ongoing compliance improvements and actively participate in privacy discussionsEngage in post-launch operational support, including monitoring, alerting, debuggingRequirements4+ years experience in software engineering or technical operationsKnowledge of Java / PHP / Node.js / GoLangKnowledge of middlewares such as edis/ElasticSearch/Kafka/RabbitMQ, etcExperience with backend microservices and APIsExperience in MySQLDemonstrated integrity and accountability in managing sensitive data and operational risksExperience in operational support, especially during launch periodsFluent in English and Mandarin, both written and spokenNice to Have Experience in logistics platformsTech Stack:- Programming Languages: Java / PHP / Node.js / GoLangAbout 1840 & Company1840 & Company is a global leader in Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) and remote talent solutions, dedicated to propelling businesses forward through our comprehensive suite of services.
