We are currently seeking applications from Occupational Therapists interested in joining the established Adult Services Occupational Therapy team.This recruitment process is carried out to fill a full-time permanent Basic Grade Occupational Therapist post in St. Michaels House Adult Services. The position will be working with adults with an intellectual disability and complex needs. The post will be based in St. Michaels House Ballymun Clinic (Glasnevin) but may involve service provision across Adult Services in St. Michaels House. Supervision will be available from an experienced Senior Occupational Therapist on the team and Line Management will be under the Occupational Therapy Manager.Essential CriteriaHold a Diploma/Degree/Masters in Occupational Therapy from a 3rd level institution offering a programme of study accredited by the World Federation of Occupational TherapistsBe registered as an Occupational Therapist with CORUHave work experience or pre-qualification placement experience involving OT service provision within intellectual disability services or another relevant areaDesirable CriteriaPost-qualification work experience as an Occupational Therapist within disability servicesExperience in supporting 24-hour postural management needs with a recognised seating/postural management course completedExperience in the implementation of sensory integration approaches with a recognised sensory integration course completedWilling to travel for work purposes with a full clean driving licence and use of a carPlease outline in your cover letter your suitability for the role with the above in mind as candidates will be short-listed for interview based on the above criteria.
