As such, the glass industry is an exciting and sustainable business to work in and be part of.We are currently seeking committed and enthusiastic individuals for the position of Batch & Furnace Labourers to work at our Knottingley site. Reporting to the Batch & Cellar Team Leader you will work as part of two-man team responsible for the general upkeep and housekeeping of the Batch Plant and Cellar areas of the factory.Duties will include but are not limited to: -Extremely heavy industrial cleaningGeneral labouringMovement of skips with FLTMonitoring and recording of raw material levels within various silosIt is essential that candidates hold a valid counterbalance FLT licence, including a full UK Driving Licence, and can demonstrate having experience in confined spaces.The ability to prioritise your own workload as well as the ability to work well within a small team and being able to work using your own initiative are essential to this role. Previous knowledge of working within a heavy industrial environment will be an advantage, as the working zones around the furnace and cellar are extremely hostile.
