About The OpportunityA growing player in the Education / EdTech and Student Services sector delivering academic guidance, career-path planning, and student support across India. We partner with schools, coaching centres and higher-education programs to improve enrolment outcomes and student success through personalised counseling and data-driven follow-up.Primary job title (standardized): Academic CounselorRole & ResponsibilitiesConduct one-on-one academic and career counseling sessions for prospective and enrolled students—assess goals, strengths, and barriers to create personalised learning plans.Manage end-to-end student intake and onboarding: eligibility checks, documentation, course mapping, and enrollment follow-up to drive conversion targets.Administer and interpret psychometric and aptitude assessments to inform course recommendations and career pathways.Maintain timely updates in CRM and LMS—log interactions, track lead progress, schedule follow-ups, and escalate retention risks.Design and deliver group counselling workshops, information sessions, and parent engagement meetings to boost program awareness and outcomes.Collaborate with academic teams to monitor student performance, recommend interventions, and support continuous improvement of counseling processes.Skills & QualificationsMust-HaveBachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, Social Sciences, or related field.Proven experience in academic or career counseling (on-campus, coaching, or EdTech environments).Familiarity with psychometric/aptitude tools and ability to interpret results for counselling recommendations.Practical experience using LMS platforms (e.g., Moodle) and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce/Zoho) to manage student journeys.Strong organisational skills with ability to manage caseloads, follow-up schedules, and documentation accurately.Fluency in English and at least one major regional language; comfortable with on-site student and parent interactions.PreferredMaster’s degree or professional certification in Counseling / Career Guidance.Experience in tele-counseling and conversion-driven admissions processes.Prior exposure to EdTech product workflows or student success operations.Benefits & Culture HighlightsOn-site role with direct student engagement and high impact on learner outcomes.Structured learning & certification support to grow counselling and assessment expertise.Collaborative, mission-driven team focused on measurable student success and career readiness.We are seeking empathetic, outcome-oriented counselors who combine assessment-driven guidance with excellent organisational discipline to convert interest into successful student journeys.
