We’re seeking someone to join our team as a New Product Approval in Legal and Compliance Division. The Department reports on new product activity to business risk management, infrastructure groups and senior management on a regular basis.In the Legal & Compliance division, we assist the Firm in achieving its business objectives by facilitating and overseeing the Firm’s management of legal, regulatory and franchise risk. This is an Associate/ Director position within Regulatory Relations, which is responsible for periodic reporting to enterprise level governance committees and interfaces with regulators as required.Since 1935, Morgan Stanley is known as a global leader in financial services, always evolving and innovating to better serve our clients and our communities in more than 40 countries around the worldWhat You'll Do In The RoleProvide support to the Firm NPA team in governing the global new product approval process, primarily for Americas ISG and US Banks related activityPerform quality assurance (QA) of the Firmwide new product proposals to validate that risk is adequately managed and ensure compliance with existing policies and procedures and alignment with strategic goalsEnsure outstanding QA issues are tracked in a consistent fashion, and issues are resolved timelyProduction of management information and metrics for senior management meetings, including steering committees, risk committees, and BU oversight forums etc.Production of various internal reports for global team to keep track of issues, due dates and matters requiring attentionContribute to the Firm NPA Department's GenAI integration initiative by designing prompts, testing outcomes and collaborating with developers and the Firm NPA Department to integrate GenAI into the NPA workflowPerform user and system administration support and document user requirements and perform Users Acceptance Testing for the NPA PlatformAssist on internal audit and regulatory mattersParticipate in NPA technology initiatives and work with NPA Technology team to implement enhancements on the technology toolingContribute to ad-hoc team projects as required, ensuring alignment with goals and objectivesWhat You’ll Bring To The RoleBachelor's Degree with 5+ years’ relevant experience is requiredGood understanding of and familiarity with financial services industryBasic knowledge of products/services related to sales and trading, investment banking, investment management and wealth management preferredExperience with or knowledge of AI related tools is a strong plus Strong team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skillsExcellent analytical skills coupled with high attention to detailStrong organizational skills with ability to effectively multi-task in a high pressure, fast-pasted environment to manage significant case load within short timeframesSound judgement and ability to identify and escalate issues effectively and appropriatelyExposure to GenAI based tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot, or similar) and their application in software testing preferredGood working knowledge with Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel (ability to create spreadsheets, pivot tables/functions/manipulate/sort/filter/format data in spreadsheets), knowledge of MS Access and VBA/Macros is also desirableComfort with Windows environment and ability to quickly learn proprietary technology applicationsCoverageMonday to Friday from 11.30AM to 08.30PM India time with flexibility on standard working hours for time sensitive matters (including India Public Holidays).What You Can Expect From Morgan StanleyWe are committed to maintaining the first-class service and high standard of excellence that have defined Morgan Stanley for over 89 years.
