Y7/2025Position OverviewThe primary focus of this position is to provide support to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), in preparing financial and regulatory reports and managing all accounting activities, specifically: daily cash and due from, suspense and clearing, accounts payables and all other general ledger reconciliations. This position is characterized by a high degree of working knowledge and understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and utilizing that knowledge in the daily monitoring and control of the Bank’s general ledger. Demonstrates expertise in a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.

Leads and directs the work of other staff members. Responsible for directing the Bank's accounting functions which include establishing and maintaining the Bank's accounting principles, practices, procedures, and initiatives. In concert with the Bank’s accounting staff, manage all accounting activities and prepare financial reports and present findings and recommendations to the management team. Provides support to the CFO and other members of the management team, as required.

Essential DutiesOversees all general ledger account reconciliations and related reporting for Beneficial State, Beneficial State Bancorp and related entities, ensuring compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements Maintains a documented system of accounting policies, procedures and internal controls over accounting transactions to mitigate the risk of misstatement or loss and to ensure the timeliness and accuracy of financial reporting Oversees accounts payable and other disbursements function Oversees and manages FDICIA compliance while overseeing and coordinating the related audits Coordinates the annual financial audit and preparation of annual consolidated financials Actively develops accounting processes and controls, including enhancing interfaces with the accounting systems Oversees the appropriate GAAP accounting treatment and reporting for new and existing bank transactionsPrimary Finance liaison for new system or product implementation to ensure that the controls and accounting processes are appropriate, accurate and efficient Prepares monthly financial statements including financial and operating metrics and detailed analysesOversees the tax filings, payments, and maintains the analysis and reporting for deferred income taxesOversees other statutory and regulatory reporting as needed, including 1099’s, property tax, sales tax refunds, CDFI reporting, public funds, and green house gas (GHG) Supports budget and forecast activities Assists with M&A activities (as applicable) Manages assigned staff to ensure that work is properly allocated and completed in a timely and accurate manner Ensures compliance with all state and federal regulations and internal company policies, including but not limited to BSA / Anti-Money Laundering, Fair Lending, Privacy, and Anti-Discrimination, to the extent each applies to current job responsibilities Completes all online compliance training as assigned within specified due datesThe position performs duties specific to the position and other functions as assigned.

Position RequirementsMinimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in accounting or Finance and/or equivalent work experience in related field 10+ years or more of relevant experience, preferably in a banking or financial services environment (can either be direct experience at a bank, comparable experience in public accounting servicing banks or a combination thereof) Knowledge of the financial industry rules, FDICIA/internal controls, regulations and practices, including GAAP Exercise accuracy, alertness, good judgment, initiative, courtesy, tact and patience in dealing with all levels of the organization, as well as with vendors and suppliers used by the Bank Ability to make timely decisions in a fast-paced environment with inadequate information Well-developed written and communication skills and the ability to be effectively organized in a fluid environment Computer literacy in Microsoft applications:

CompensationThe posted pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role but may include ranges from the different geographies where this position may be based.

New employees' starting pay is usually from the start of the range to approximately 25% of the max, more qualified and/or experienced employees may start near the middle of the range for their geography. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Compensation for our organization is based on factors that include the role, required knowledge, skills, abilities and competencies, and candidates’ relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs.

Our pay ranges are based on national living wage indexes, such as MIT's living wage index, to enable us to pay our employees beyond what are standard practices for many employers, and also take into account geographically-specific recent compensation market survey data for each position.
