1. Role PurposeThe BIM Manager is responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining the BIM strategy and digital delivery framework for the Gia Binh International Airport project. This role ensures compliance with ISO 19650 standards, enhances multidisciplinary coordination, and supports design management, construction sequencing, cost verification, and asset handover. The BIM Manager plays a critical role in integrating architectural, structural, MEP, civil, airside, and airport-specialist systems within a Common Data Environment (CDE).2. Key ResponsibilitiesA. BIM Strategy & GovernanceDevelop and implement the BIM Execution Plan (BEP), Employer’s Information Requirements (EIR), Model Production Delivery Table (MIDP), and Task Information Delivery Plans (TIDP) in accordance with ISO 19650.Establish BIM protocols, naming conventions, and digital workflows for all consultants and contractors.Maintain and administer the CDE (Autodesk BIM 360 / Autodesk Construction Cloud), ensuring compliance, traceability, and data integrity.Lead BIM onboarding, training, and compliance monitoring across all project stakeholders.B. Multidisciplinary Design & Technical CoordinationLead and facilitate design coordination meetings across all disciplines: Architecture, Structure, MEPF, Civil, Airside, Terminals, and airport-specialist systems.Conduct early-stage design review and constructability analysis for terminal buildings, airside infrastructure, and landside facilities.Validate the completeness, accuracy, and LOD (300–500) compliance of models submitted by consultants and contractors.Integrate ICT/ELV and airport-specialist system spatial models (NOC, SOC, APC, data centers, BHS control rooms).Support resolution of technical conflicts through the project’s Architecture Review Board (ARB)governance and structured design review processes.Support the ARB with BIM-related design deviations, technical validation, and multi-system spatial/interface conflicts.Provide assurance review of contractor BIM submissions, including model accuracy vs. installed works.C. Model Review, Clash Detection & Digital Construction Aggregate multidisciplinary models into Navisworks for unified model coordination (RVT, IFC, Civil 3D, Tekla, specialist systems) or other programs suitable for project.Perform Clash Detection using Navisworks Manage, classify clash types (hard, soft, workflow), produce clash reports and track resolution status.Conduct Visual Walkthroughs and 3D spatial verification to identify access, clearance, routing, and maintainability issues.Execute 4D Construction Sequencing & Simulation by linking BIM models with project schedules (MS Project / Primavera P6).Utilize Navisworks Quantification workspace for 3D quantity extraction (QTO) and support 5D cost verification.Audit Revit models for modeling quality, BIM standards compliance, metadata structure, and model health.D. BIM for Construction & Site SupportProvide BIM technical support to site teams and Design Management Department during the design–construction transition.Coordinate with contractors to validate shop drawings, fabrication models, and method statements against BIM requirements.Verify as-built models and ensure they meet LOD 500 standards for asset handover.Support integration of BIM data with ORAT requirements, asset tagging, COBie deliverables, and facility management systems (AIM).E. Documentation & ReportingMaintain BIM-related documents including BEP, guidelines, audit reports, naming standards, and BIM change logs.Produce weekly and monthly BIM coordination reports for the Director of Design management.Ensure version control, change control, and traceability of all BIM and digital engineering deliverables.3. Qualifications & Experience4.1. MandatoryBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management.Minimum 7–10 years of BIM experience on large, complex buildings or infrastructure projects.Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks Manage, and BIM 360/ACC.Demonstrated leadership in multidisciplinary BIM coordination and ISO 19650 workflows.Strong understanding of LOD 300–500, modeling standards, and CDE management.4.2. PreferredExperience in airport/aviation projects (terminals, airside, landside, utilities).Familiarity with ICAO standards, relevant international standards and Vietnam construction codes.Knowledge of 4D/5D digital construction, QTO, COBie, and Digital Twin workflows.Certification in BIM is an advantage.Experience working with international consultants and contractors.5.
