Warialda, New South WalesFull-timeDescriptionBiosecurity Officer (Weeds)Gwydir Shire Council is inviting interest from individuals whowould like to train and qualify to undertake the role of Biosecurity Officer(Weeds).The successful candidate will be required to inspect and controlpriority weeds throughout the Shire area, including private land and Councilcontrolled areas, assist in the eradication of priority weeds within the Shirearea and provide information and education about priority weeds to the publicand other stakeholders.The Biosecurity Officer (Weeds) position is classified as Band 2level 2, Grade 6 in Council’s competency-based salary system and the successfulcandidate will be paid in accordance with this classification whilstundertaking the training and performing the duties of the role.
