Research that generates creative investment ideas and simplifies strategic and financing decisions - that's intelligence our clients can count on.We’re looking for a BI Associate Analyst, Southeast Asia, to join this expanding team. You would be part of this expanding team and responsible for supporting multi-sector for the Southeast Asia market. The Associate Analyst on the team will focus significantly on supporting the franchise with the generation of industry insights and how they impact companies related to multi-sector such as real estate, e-commerce and conglomerates. You will also be responsible for the development and maintenance of robust financial models to showcase resulting analyses. The analysis will be based on company financial data, industry leading data, Bloomberg's data sets, financial models as well as issuer calls and announcements.We'll Trust You ToActively contribute to the team’s daily research activities (i.e. data aggregation, financial modeling, written research, idea generation) Monitor and interpret major company developments and identify macro themes and trends affecting industries Manage significant data analysis and modeling responsibilities; synthesize the results, draw conclusions and develop concise narratives that communicate the story behind the data Develop and maintain relationships with internal departments throughout Bloomberg as well as external company, industry and data professionals; participate in department-wide special projects Work with other data and core business groups to help develop and enhance content and functionality across the terminal Interact with clients via our online messaging systems or join our analysts on client meetings as appropriate Review submitted research for adherence to global quality standards You’ll Need To HaveGraduated with a Bachelor's degree, preferably with a focus or concentration in Finance or related degree 1-3 years of financial market research or industry specific subject matter experience, with demonstrable research and analytical skills Proficient industry knowledge of the Southeast Asia market, with a focus on financial and business trends and developments A deep understanding of advanced concepts, practices and procedures of finance/accounting and valuation Solid experience performing quantitative financial analysis, with knowledge of companies, industries, financial statement analysis & modeling The ability to spot anomalies in financial data, think critically about what the data is telling you and identify when something doesn't align or makes sense Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, with experience managing large datasets and models High level of curiosity and attention to detail Strong organization skills and capable of handling multiple projects; an ability to meet deadlines, logically tackle problems and set priorities Fluency in both written and spoken business-level English A commitment to enhancing and developing products We’d Love To SeeCFA, Master's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, MBA, or related discipline is a plus Solid understanding of Financial Macro Development and knowledge of Python, SQL or VBA is beneficial Previous work experience with the Bloomberg Terminal.
