Job Description

ResponsibilitiesAs a Senior Tax Manager, you will be responsible for all tax matters including but not limited to tax advisory and compliance matters in REC, formulate and improve existing processes, review tax filings and reports, and resolve issues and inquiries such as transfer pricing, corporate tax matters, group restructuring, and lead/support in occasional ad-hoc projects.Transfer PricingRequirementsWorks directly with affiliated company's Transfer Pricing Team and formulate new or improve existing REC processes to align various REC teams to meet affiliated company's Transfer Pricing guidelines and requirements. This includes engaging and managing external TP consultants to determine appropriate: IntraGroup selling prices of products IntraGroup interest rates for loans & borrowings IntraGroup cross charging of management fees and royalties etc. All other IntraGroup transactionsThe role is required to lead the preparation and coordination of all transfer pricing documentation at the group level and at each local entity level (Singapore/US/Germany/Japan/China/Norway)Corporate TaxMonitor local tax regulations in all REC markets including any upcoming changes and updating the management timely.Proactive coverage of interfaces between various REC regions and affiliated company's Tax Team to ensure alignment with affiliated company's Tax guidelines and requirementsAssist in coordinating appropriate responses to tax audits in any REC marketsIndirect And Other TaxesOversee Singapore GST compliance, including the review and approval of monthly GST filings prepared by the Finance team.Review and ensure accuracy of Singapore withholding tax (WHT) filings for payments to non-residents.Liaise with external consultants and local finance teams to address GST, WHT, and other indirect tax queries across REC entities as needed.Ensure timely submission of all indirect tax filings and identify opportunities for process improvements or risk mitigation.Support ad-hoc reviews of customs duties, import/export tax implications, and property tax assessments.Ad-Hoc ProjectsThe role will also be expected to lead or support in occasional ad-hoc projects such as: Optimization of Transfer Pricing between Corporate Taxes and Custom Duties within regulatory parameters to achieve the best financial outcomeMinimizing Corporate & Withholding Taxes during the structuring of IntraGroup Loans, Royalties, Management Fees and DividendsFormulate approaches or processes to determine appropriate inputs relating to corporate taxes for any REC expansion into new markets or special projects.QualificationsDegree in accountancy or taxationCertified CPA / Chartered Accountant is preferredMinimum 7 years of tax experience in public accounting firm (Big four preferred)Good working knowledge of Singapore taxation and International tax knowledgeStrong technical knowledge of direct / indirect taxes and transfer pricing regulationsOutstanding conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with a high energy levelAbility to be proactive and demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skillsWell-organized and detail-orientedAble to work both independently and as a team playerOther InformationOnly shortlisted candidates will be notified.
