Position DescriptionWork directly with the Design, Engineering and Growth teams of a high-growth fintech platform with 6M+ members, taking ownership of growth product experiments and creative ranging from conversion rate optimization experiments to emails to display ads, contributing to product design and design systems, and more. You will build a deep understanding of our brand, product, and users, leveraging extensive user behavior data and funnel metrics to implement product design and creatives that drive growth. Your goal will be to grow signup and retention metrics throughout our student and donor funnels, rapidly driving measurable revenue and LTV increases.
You will be a critical part of a small, agile growth product team that builds deep empathy with our users via onboarding funnel and retention data, user interviews, surveys, user session recordings, and more, and translates your insights into psychology-backed product improvements and conversion mechanisms. This is a great role for a growth-oriented designer who wants to engineer rapid, sustainable growth as part of a fast-moving, small team. Key ResponsibilitiesDesign intuitive, conversion-optimized experiences that explain complex financial concepts clearly and persuasively. Work with our Lead Designer to design end-to-end user experiences — from early concepts to production-ready designs.
Contribute to our design system by evolving components, tokens, and guidelines, ensuring everything ships with clear specifications. Collaborate deeply with Engineering through development to guarantee a polished, high-quality result. Take full ownership of the final user experience, from initial concept to the shipped product. Work with our Growth Team to systematically build and extend our deep understanding of Bold. org members, leveraging tactics like user interviews, surveys, user session recordings, and more to understand the biggest blockers to greater acquisition and retention for our audience.
Create dozens of monthly experiments designed to improve conversion rate across key funnel steps ranging from onboarding to retention to monetization. Skills, Knowledge And Expertise5+ years in product design and UX leading high-impact initiatives from concept to execution in complex platforms with additional focus on conversion rate optimization. A strong command of user experience principles and the ability to think critically about the entire user journey, not just individual screens. Successfully shipped and maintained complex design systems that scaled across teams and product surfaces. Strong understanding of where AI and automation tools can help accelerate and uplevel workstreams.
