Position: Head of Talent AcquisitionJob Location: Dhaka, BangladeshAbout the Role: BRAC International (BI) is seeking âHead of Talent Acquisitionâ who is aligned with itâs ethos of working in partnership with communities to create impact for scale. The Head of Talent Acquisition will be accountable for overseeing BRAC Internationalâs recruitment initiatives. This role entails leading the talent acquisition team to ensure the organisation attracts and hires top talent efficiently and within the required timelines.
S/he will uphold a robust and secure recruitment process, ensuring equal opportunities for all candidates while prioritising the identification of the right fit for the organisation. S/he will also ensure that the core values and mission of BI are upheld, promoted, followed, and applied across Human Resources team at BRAC International. Key Responsibilities: Global Talent Acquisition StrategyDevelop and implement a global talent acquisition strategy aligned with the organisational mission, vision, and goals. Drive process improvements and efficiency, including the digitisation of global recruitment processes to ensure streamlined, effective, and high-quality services.
Team Leadership and SupportManage a high-performing talent acquisition team at headquarters. Provide guidance to country HR teams on talent acquisition strategies and directly oversee end-to-end hiring for senior-level positions. Workforce Planning and Talent SourcingEngage in workforce planning and forecasting organisation-wide. Collaborate with functional heads and hiring managers to identify priority countries and programs and source talent proactively. Build a robust external talent pipeline by identifying and engaging with potential candidates for future key roles. Agency PartnershipsPartner with recruiting agencies in Africa and Asia to secure senior-level talent effectively.
Recruitment Policies and ProcessesPeriodically revise recruitment guidelines, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), forms, offer letters, and agreement templates to reflect organisational needs, statutory changes, and best practices. Ensure mutual understanding of staffing policies, practices, and priorities among recruiters and hiring managers. Assessment and SelectionDevelop and train pools of capable interviewers to enhance candidate selection processes. Implement and oversee appropriate assessment tools and methodologies tailored to different hiring needs. Review and prepare offer letters and employment agreements to ensure accuracy and alignment with organisational standards.
Employer Branding and Candidate ExperienceDevelop strategies and programs to elevate BRAC International's presence as a preferred employer nationally and internationally. Foster a positive candidate experience through effective and timely communication throughout the recruitment process. Reporting and AnalyticsProvide well-documented and analytical recruiting reports to the management team to inform strategic decisions. Safeguarding Responsibilities: Establish a safeguarding culture by implementing the safeguarding policies, taking programme decisions with the do-no-harm principle, mitigating safeguarding risks and maintaining a safe working environment where staff feel encouraged to voice concerns without fear of retaliation.
Ensure 100% of team members, partners and service providers have access to and receive mandatory training on the safeguarding policies and reporting channels. Introduce a mandatory safeguarding agenda in monthly meetings for continuous dialogue & reminders as part of creating a safeguarding culture. Report safeguarding incidents witnessed or experiences to the Safeguarding department. For known cases, maintain neutrality, be sensitive and non-judgemental to victims/survivors, and cooperate with organisational investigations providing accurate information as needed. Academic Qualifications: Bachelor's/ Masterâs degree from a reputed university preferably in Human Resource Management or relevant discipline. Experience Requirements:
Minimum of 10 years of experience in a related HR role, preferably within a development organisation. At least 07 years of specialised experience in talent acquisition. Proven experience in managing international staff hires within global or international organisations. Demonstrated ability to manage and lead high-performing teams in high-volume recruiting environments. Required Skills, Competencies & Knowledge: Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to interpret and effectively communicate data. Experience using online recruitment sources and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS). Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Strong verbal and written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Effective client management and negotiation abilities.
Open communication style with a focus on problem-solving and handling challenges maturely. Proven experience in change management within a complex international organisation. Ability to deliver results efficiently under time and resource constraints. Sensitivity and discretion in handling confidential information. Cross-cultural sensitivity and the ability to work with diverse individuals and teams. Flexibility to travel internationally and adapt to different time zones as needed.
