Job Description

Primarily responsible for researching, monitoring and tracking all payment brands standards requirements and compliance, and legal and regulatory (BSP and R.A.) requirements to ensure compliance by CBG Systems-managed applications. Acts as Business Unit compliance and standards coordinator or point person for CBG Systems team by communicating requirements and obtaining approvals from Business Units. Duties and Responsibilities:1. Business Systems Regulatory & Compliance a) Ensure comprehensive systems compliance with payment card industry (PCI) standards, including PCS DSS (Data Security Standards) b) Monitor, clarify and interpret evolving regulatory and mandated systems requirements from global payment brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express, JCB, Discovery/Diner’s Club and UnionPay c) Develop and maintain robust systems compliance strategies that align with current government, legal and industry regulations2. Risk Assessment and Mitigation a) Conduct regular risk assessments related to systems cards and payment processing and financial transactions b) Identify potential compliance gaps and develop mitigation strategies, plan of actions c) Implement controls to minimize financial and reputational risks associated with non-compliance3. Project Management a) Priorities and TimelineCollaborate, negotiate and align formally with project stakeholders on compliance strategies, financial or reputational impacts, priorities, timelines and deadlinesAdvise the project team on potential project synergies and conflictsStakeholders can be business unit heads/users, Systems peers, IT teams, Cybersecurity, Legal, Finance, Operations, Project Managers, Senior Leaders and vendors b) Facilitate and contribute to internal workshops, orientation and brainstorming sessions on prospective systems vendor or IT solutions on compliance and regulatory requirements c) Rationalize and periodically review schedule progress, cost and benefits to ensure alignment to business and systems strategies4. Systems Consultant a) Provide independent feedback on systems projects to maintain systems sustainability and alignment to compliance and regulatory requirements, e.g. standards or metrics to ensure quality systems operations b) Recommend actionable improvements, to correct or align systems processing behavior with strategic business goals especially systems relatedc) Give recommendations to Business Case, Legal Contract or other legal documents, whenever applicable.5. Others a) Serves as primary point of contact and represents CBG Systems with other bank’s compliance units (e.g. Credit PORT, Compliance, RMG, Cybersecurity) and external parties (e.g. payment brands, credit bureau, vendors) b) Updates CBG Systems Head and CBG Group Head on various projects being handled. c) Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.Qualifications:Graduate of a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as business, finance, economics, information technology, computer science or engineering.At least seven years of experience in business analysis work and systems solution project implementation, preferably in a consumer/retail financial, lending, digital, payments or related industry.Must be willing to work onsite and be assigned in Ortigas.
