Do you have an interest in Irish Food, Drink and Horticulture?Do you enjoy taking responsibility and like working in a small team?Are you looking to make a difference in what you do and have the relevant experience?Then you've come to the right place.Brand Strategist(Maternity Cover - 12 Months)DublinReports To: Director, MarketingGrade: 4The salary scale for this role is €82,004 - €97,193.New Entrants to the Public Sector commence on the first point of the ScalePurposeBord Bia has a vision that customers around the globe recognise that Irish food and drink is world-class; that it is high quality, distinctive, and made by a diverse range of creative producers from a unique and fortuitous island location.Our purpose is to bring Ireland’s outstanding food, drink and horticulture to the world, thus enabling growth and sustainability of producers.In this role, you will lead, develop manage the strategic brand Marketing and Communications brand strategy planning for the Irish Food, Drink Horticulture Industry and Bord Bia globally.What You’ll DoLead the Strategic Planning for Bord Bia’s Marketing Communications Team in close collaboration with the Marketing Director and develop a Global Marketing strategy with annual content plan for Food Brand Ireland and Bord Bia.Manage and maintain the Global Brand Strategy for Food Brand Ireland and Bord Bia nationally and internationally, including the brand architecture expressions of Food Brand Ireland.Lead the future evolution of brand guidelines for the Bord Bia master brand, sub brands and trust-marks through annual audit and proposition development planning. Cultivate strong and effective working relationships with the implementing body and evaluation agency through initiating good project management principles and practices.In close collaboration with the Insights team, develop insightful conclusions from research data.Work closely with the Senior Manager Digital Platforms Events to build and embed an integrated marketing model within the Marketing team, and act as senior gatekeeper for any Marketing requests.Co-ordinate the reporting of audience metrics under a Marketing measurement framework for the Marketing team.Lead special strategic Marketing projects in accordance with the needs of the organisation, its stakeholders and participate on the Strategy Steering group representing the brand. Actively contribute to and lead on aspects of EU co-funding strategy execution and alignment with the One Bord Bia annual planning process.Manage allocated budgets efficiently in accordance with organisational policy and procedure.Adhere to the One Bord Bia Operating ModelAbout YouEssential Knowledge, Skills CapabilitiesKnowledge:5+ years’ experience as a marketing practitioner, with experience in Marketing Communication projects from planning through to execution and evaluation.Strategic planning experienceBrand proposition building, development and positioning experienceSkills Capabilities:CollaborationBudget managementThought leadership and strategic thinkingInnate curiosity to want to understand people, business,culture, influence and the world,Strong interpersonal, written, verbal and presentation skillsKnowledge:Desirable Knowledge, Skills CapabilitiesFood, drinks horticulture industryB2B B2C experienceNational international experience.Skills Capabilities:Third level educated in business development/marketing.Growth mindsetGood decision making prioritisation.Closing Date/Time: Monday, 17 November 2025 @ 9:00am (GMT/UTC)Learn more about working at Bord Bia.
