This position will be working out one of our Foth local office or remote locations.Primary ResponsibilitiesDevelop process mechanical deliverables from concept through constructionDevelop equipment specifications, process and instrumentation drawings (P&IDs), equipment lists, line lists, POC lists, and operation specificationsWork with designers to create drawingsWrite installation scope documentsPrepare and give technical reviews to clients regarding project-related itemsCoordinate with other project disciplines as requiredWork with clients, vendors, and suppliers to develop deliverablesEstimate process engineering hours and schedule for proposalsOversee and QC engineering work of others (e.g., drawings, calculations, designs, etc.)Support construction to include onsite and remoteLead checkout/start-up efforts associated with project workProvide technical leadership and manage process mechanical discipline project membersCoach and mentor others as requiredAbility to travel as needed with anticipation of 25-50% annuallyRequired QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, or equivalent technical experience10+ years of professional process engineering experience7+ years of brewing process engineering calculations, brewery capacity, sizing, and throughput calculationsRequired Previous Experience With The FollowingReading & Interpreting Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (PIDs)Developing mass and energy balancesCalculating flow conditionsPreferred QualificationsRegistered Professional Engineer or ability to obtain within 24 monthsExperience utilizing 3D tools such as Navisworks, Plant 3D, VR, and 3D ScansEngineered Package development including Scope of Work, P&IDs, Specifications & Mechanical Equipment ArrangementsPreferred Experience With The FollowingSizing and specifying brewing and fermentation vessels, beer filtration systems, and yeast propagation and handling systemsDesigning mix-proof valve manifoldsSelecting brewing instrumentationDesigning flavor injection systems to produce FMBs (flavored malt beverages)Clean-in Place (CIP) system design, operation, and optimizationWhy FothEstablished Reputation: With over 85 years of success, we are proud to be 100% member-owned.Dynamic Culture: Benefit from a values-based, client-centered, and flexible work environment, with ample professional growth opportunities and supportive colleagues, contributing to our impressive 92+% member retention rate.Challenging Projects: Engage in diverse and exciting projects that promote continuous professional growth and development.Join our team and experience the Foth difference! Base compensation will vary based on factors such as: years of experience, location, level of responsibility and licenses/certifications. In addition to base compensation, Foth members may be eligible to receive bonuses through our Earned Performance Incentive program. All employees are eligible for On-the-Spot bonuses. Exempt members are also eligible for either quarterly and/or annual bonuses.
