Business Analyst - Data Migration Project

PrecisionERP / PrecisionIT is currently seeking a Business Analyst to work on a Data Migration project for one our major clients in Ottawa, the work can be done on a hybrid schedule as well.A valid Canadian Federal clearance is required, minimum Reliability StatusLocation: Hybrid, onsite - 4 days per month in Ottawa, ON. Which could be somewhat flexible depending on approval from management.Duration: As soon as possible to December 2026 (Over 1 year) with potential for extensionThe ideal candidate should have:Hands-on experience with SQL and Azure DevOpsStrong understanding of business processes and data analysisExperience and familiarity with Databricks would be an assetKey Responsibilities include:Eliciting and documenting business/functional requirementsAnalyzing and mapping current vs. future state processesConducting detailed data analysis, profiling, and mappingIdentifying and mitigating data migration risksCollaborating with cross-functional teamsSupporting testing activities and ensuring requirements traceabilityCreating and maintaining comprehensive documentationRequired Qualifications:Proven experience as a Business Analyst in data migration projectsStrong SQL skillsExperience using Azure DevOpsExcellent communication and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentPreferred Qualifications:Familiarity with Databricks and data governance conceptsExperience with cloud-based data platformsEducation & Experience:Bachelor’s degree in a related field3+ years of experience in a Business Analyst role, ideally on data-centric projects
