This position is perfect for someone looking to build their career in product management while making a real impact on software that's used by accounting professionals across the UK, Ireland, and Australia.As a Business Analyst, you'll be the bridge between our development teams and business stakeholders, with a primary focus on writing detailed, actionable user stories and tickets that drive our product forward. This role offers fantastic exposure to the full product development lifecycle in a market that's experiencing significant change and growth.Key ResponsibilitiesPrimary Responsibilities:Write clear, detailed user stories and acceptance criteria that development teams can execute effectivelyBreak down larger product requirements into manageable, actionable ticketsCollaborate with the product owner to translate business requirements into technical specificationsWork closely with UX/UI teams to ensure user stories capture the intended user experienceParticipate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and refinement sessionsSupport quality assurance by defining test scenarios and acceptance criteriaGather feedback from internal stakeholders and help prioritise feature requestsMaintain and update product documentation and user story backlogsDay-to-Day Activities:Create and refine user stories in our project management toolsCollaborate with development teams during daily standups and sprint activitiesWork with customer success teams to understand user pain points and feature requestsSupport the testing process by validating that delivered features meet acceptance criteriaParticipate in product demos and stakeholder meetingsResearch competitor features and industry best practicesSkills, Knowledge and ExpertiseEssential Requirements:Strong written communication skills with attention to detailUnderstanding of agile development methodologies (Scrum/Kanban)Analytical mindset with ability to break down complex requirementsInterest in or experience with B2B software, particularly SaaS platformsDesirable Experience:Experience writing user stories and acceptance criteria1-3 years of experience in product management, business analysis, or similar roleBackground in accounting, finance, or working with professional services firmsExperience with project management tools (Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar)Understanding of software development processes and technical conceptsPrevious experience in the accounting software or professional services technology sectorKnowledge of compliance requirements in accounting and auditingPersonal Attributes:Curious and eager to learn about product management best practicesStrong collaborative approach and ability to work effectively with technical teamsProblem-solving mindset with ability to think from the user's perspectiveOrganised and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneouslyEnthusiastic about contributing to software that makes a real difference to accounting professionalsBenefitsCompetitive salary and benefits packageHealth insurance and company pension25+ days annual leaveHybrid working options with modern work practicesLearning and development opportunitiesEducational assistance and professional development supportEmployee wellbeing initiativesLife insuranceOn-site parking at our Warwick officeRegular team events and celebrationsAccess to our Warwick office facilities
