ByFood.com is Japan’s rapidly expanding one-stop platform for foodie travelers. We are seeking new team members excited to be a part of growing our international company. ByFood won the 3rd UNWTO Gastronomy Tourism Startup Competition and other prestigious awards in recognition of our unique approach to accessible and sustainable tourism.On byFood, users can book food experiences through our site, like cooking classes and food tours, and make easy restaurant reservations without using Japanese. We aim to connect with travelers through every part of their experience, from the early planning stages to the trip itself, and maintain a connection long after they have returned home.In addition, for every experience booking or paid restaurant reservation placed on the platform, byFood donates school meals to children in need through the Food for Happiness program. So far, over 700K donations have been made through this initiative.PositionWe are looking for a Business Analyst to help connect product management with the development team. This role involves daily coordination with developers, writing clear documentation, supporting testing, and keeping processes on track.Key Responsibilities:Join daily huddles and follow up with developers on current issues and deadlines.Write clear GitHub issue descriptions and keep backlog items organized.Support testing after onboarding, review test cases, and suggest UX improvements.Coordinate priorities, assign tasks, and ensure smooth communication between Product Manager and developers.Document meetings (e.g., Testing sessions) and maintain process sheets.Raise blockers and process gaps to the Product Manager and suggest improvements.Qualifications:Previous experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role preferred.Strong communication and organizational skills.Experience with GitHub or similar issue-tracking tools.Basic knowledge of testing methods and UX principles.Ability to manage multiple priorities and spot improvement opportunities.Collaborative mindset, comfortable working between business and technical teams.
