Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support current Department of Public Safety (DPS) projects and priorities. This role will focus on gathering themes, epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria, as well as analyzing existing requirements documentation to enhance agency effectiveness, ensure compliance with applicable statutes, and improve service delivery. The Business Analyst will work closely with project and development teams to facilitate requirements gathering, documentation, and predictive effort modeling. Key ResponsibilitiesFacilitate requirements gathering sessions to create themes, epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria according to agency standards.
Convert existing use cases into actionable user stories, epics, and acceptance criteria in Jira. Analyze existing process documentation to identify opportunities for operational effectiveness and efficiency. Support the development and implementation of various initiatives to enhance service delivery. Participate in project development and quality assurance discussions to define story points for predictive level-of-effort modeling. Collaborate with stakeholders, project managers, and development teams to ensure requirements are well-documented, clear, and testable.
