Job DescriptionSBLJob Description:Jefferies is expanding its business in Tokyo and is looking for a candidate to support the project of starting the SBL business. The company will utilize Global 1 as the front and middle office system and I-STAR as the back office system. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing and executing this new project, working closely with the business, external vendors, and the internal IT team.Key Responsibilities & Tasks: Collaborate with Technology teams to ensure functional specifications align with business requirements Document current and proposed operational processes, applications, and workflow Coordinate testing across various areas, products, and regions. Support securities leading desk. Manage liquidity and capital capacity across Equities in Japan. Work with borrowers/ lenders to ensure smooth SBL settlement. Manage margin calls and process margin payment and monitor the status. Manage Corporate Action event for SBL and collateral positions. Perform various control activities to ensure that the exposures are properly managed. Look for opportunities to improve operation process and drive efficiency. Solid knowledge to SBL market practice and equity financing Meeting deadline daily and continuously Pay attention to details. Manage project issues and risk reporting, ensuring all issues are escalated appropriately Qualifications: At least 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Project Manager within Operations. Comprehensive knowledge and experience working in the SBL area is essential. Preferably having experience with Global 1 & NRI I-STAR Core system. Strong organizational and communication skills. The ability to gather and compile business requirements is crucial. Strong PC skills, particularly Microsoft Office products Fluent Japanese and business-level English are necessary for effective communication.
