Business Central Functional Consultant

Job SummaryThe Junior Functional Consultant plays a key role in supporting the implementation and optimization of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and other business applications. The role is split between Functional Consulting (60%) and System Analysis & Support (40%), allowing the candidate to develop expertise in business process analysis, system configuration, user training, and troubleshooting.This position involves working closely with clients, senior consultants, and project teams to ensure smooth implementations, proper documentation, and successful end-user adoption. It is an entry-level role designed to build strong consulting skills through hands-on project involvement, mentorship, and structured learning.Primary ResponsibilitiesFunctional Consulting Responsibilities (60%)o  Assist in gathering, analyzing, and documenting business processes and user requirements.o Support senior consultants in configuring Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central to meet client-specific needs.o  Participate in system implementation, testing, and deployment activities.o  Help create user manuals, training materials, and step-by-step guides for end users.o  Conduct basic User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and support functional testing activities.o Collaborate with technical consultants to communicate functional requirements and system enhancements.o  Provide post-go-live functional support, ensuring smooth system adoption by clients.  Secondary ResponsibilitiesSystem Analysis & Support Responsibilities (30%)o  Assist in troubleshooting and resolving Level 1 functional issues related to system configuration and user errors.o  Document and escalate complex system issues to senior consultants and technical teams.o  Maintain and update functional documentation, FAQs, and process guidelines.o  Support data migration activities by verifying data integrity and assisting in clean-up tasks.o  Participate in internal team discussions and knowledge-sharing sessions to improve consulting best practices.Pre-Sales Support & Solution Consulting (10%)·       Assist the Sales team with product demos and technical validation during the pre-sales cycle.·       Customize demonstrations based on client requirements, ensuring relevance and clarity.·       Contribute to RFP responses and pre-sales documentation as needed.Qualifications & SkillsEducation:o Bachelor’s degree in business, Information Technology, Computer Science, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Technical & Functional Skills:o Basic understanding of business processes in finance, supply chain, and operations.o Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or other ERP/CRM systems is a plus.o Knowledge of system configuration, workflows, and process automation.Soft Skills:o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.o Excellent verbal and written communication skills for documentation and client interaction.o Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and take initiative.Preferred but Not Required:o Internship or experience in ERP consulting, business analysis, or IT support.o Certifications in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or Power Platform (or willingness to obtain them).
