Job DescriptionWe are looking for a passionate and dedicated individual to join our Finance team in Barcelona, Spain. As a Business Controller in the Freight Forwarding division, you will be responsible for driving financial performance, ensuring accurate reporting, and supporting strategic decision-making. You will lead budgeting and forecasting processes, analyze financial data, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize cost structures and improve operational efficiency. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.How You Will ContributeLead the annual budgeting process and monitor financial performance against forecasts.Prepare and present financial reports, including variance analysis and actionable insights.Conduct profitability and cost analysis across services, routes, and customers.Collaborate with operations and procurement to identify cost-saving opportunities.Support business decisions with financial modeling and scenario analysis.Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.Drive continuous improvement in financial systems, tools, and reporting processes.Partner with other departments to gather insights and support cross-functional initiatives.Participate in audits and contribute to risk assessment and mitigation strategies.What You Will BringBachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s or CPA/CMA preferred).3–5 years of experience as a Business Controller, ideally in logistics or freight forwarding.Strong knowledge of financial principles, reporting standards, and accounting practices.Excellent communication and collaboration skills across diverse teams.Analytical and problem-solving mindset with a high attention to detail.Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Proficiency in financial systems and tools; experience with automation is a plus.Willingness to travel 20–30% across the region.Fluency in English and Spanish; additional languages are a plus.
