Job Description

FiSearch are working with a leading pharmaceutical company who are seeking a Business Controller to join their growing finance team. The role will involve high levels of collaboration with a team of Business and Operations Controllers, who are also responsible for one or more Business Units. With full BU financial responsibility, the role acts as a sparring partner ensuring a strong connection between finance and business. Reporting directly to the Head of Business Control, the role requires a healthy mix of analytical and strategical focus, with the ability to engage key stakeholders across the business.Responsibilities:Manage the development and monitoring of the financial strategy.Proactively challenge and advise the management team of the business unit(s) and the local (NL) and regional management.Identify risks and opportunities and formulate mitigating actions.Prepare and present detailed variance analysis (budget vs. actual) for revenue, costs, and profitability, providing actionable insights to stakeholders.Develop and deliver financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior management, highlighting key findings and recommendations.Act as a commercial business partner in calculations and margin analyses.Establish business cases, sensitivity analyses, and post-implementation reviews are conducted.Further optimize and professionalize the planning & control cycle (budgets, forecasts, dashboards).Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; a master’s degree or professional certification (e.g. CPA, CMA) is a plus.5+ years of experience in finance, controlling, or business analysisHands-on, takes initiative, and is solution-oriented.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.Experience in a large-scale and matrix organization is highly desirable.Excellent communication skills (in English – Dutch is plus), with the ability to influence and collaborate across various levels of the organization.Benefits:Competitve salary as well as an attractive package of secondary benefits, including a holiday pay (8%), a bonus and a L&D budget which can be spent on training and courses.Hybrid working.
