Job Title: Sales ManagerDepartment: Sales & MarketingReports To: General Manager / Head of SalesJob Summary:The Sales Manager is responsible for developing and executing effective sales strategies to achieve business objectives, increase market share, and drive revenue growth for the company’s FMCG products. The role involves managing the sales team, expanding distribution channels, maintaining strong customer relationships, and ensuring the company’s products have maximum visibility and availability in the market.Key Responsibilities:Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company targets and objectives.Lead, manage, and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and team sales goals.Identify new business opportunities, market trends, and potential customers to expand market reach.Establish and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, distributors, wholesalers, and retailers.Monitor sales performance, analyze sales data, and prepare periodic reports for management.Coordinate with the marketing team to develop promotional campaigns and brand-building activities.Ensure effective coverage and merchandising across all assigned territories.Manage pricing, discounts, and promotional activities in alignment with company policies.Track competitor activities and market movements to provide strategic insights.Oversee inventory levels and coordinate with the supply chain team to ensure product availability.Provide ongoing training, coaching, and performance evaluations to sales representatives.Ensure compliance with company policies, commercial terms, and customer agreements.Qualifications and Skills:Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).Experience: 5–10 years of sales experience in the FMCG industry, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of FMCG sales dynamics, distribution networks, and retail operations.Technical Skills:Proficient in MS Office and CRM/Sales Management software.Strong analytical and reporting skills.Soft Skills:Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation abilities.Results-driven with strong business acumen.Ability to motivate and manage large sales teams.Strong organizational and planning skills.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):Achievement of monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.Market share growth in assigned regions.Increase in active customer base and distribution coverage.Sales team performance and productivity.Profitability and cost-efficiency of sales operations.Work Environment:Based in the head office with frequent travel to market areas, distributors, and retail outlets.Dynamic and fast-paced environment requiring proactive decision-making and adaptability.Warm regards,Whizz HRKindly share your CV to hello@whizzhr.com
