Job SummaryWe are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to drive the growth and market expansion of our Elevator business. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a proven track record in B2B sales, particularly in the construction, real estate, or industrial sectors. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and achieving sales targets for new elevator installations, modernization projects, and long-term maintenance contracts.Key Responsibilities1. Strategic Business Development & Market Penetration:Identify and target new business opportunities within key market segments: high-rise residential, commercial offices, hotels, hospitals, retail malls, and public infrastructure projects.Develop and implement a robust business development strategy to increase JMG's market share in the elevator industry.Conduct market research to understand competitor activities, pricing strategies, and emerging market trends.Generate a sustainable pipeline of qualified leads and opportunities.2. Sales & Revenue Generation:Achieve and exceed agreed-upon sales targets and KPIs for new unit sales, modernization, and service contracts.Prepare and present compelling technical and commercial proposals, quotations, and tenders to clients.Lead contract negotiations, ensuring profitability and compliance with company policies.Manage the entire sales cycle from lead generation to closing and handover to the project execution team.3. Client Relationship Management:Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers, including architects, consultants, developers, contractors, and property owners.Act as the primary point of contact for key accounts, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.Represent JMG at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to enhance brand visibility and generate leads.4. Cross-functional Collaboration:Work closely with the engineering, project management, and installation teams to ensure a seamless transition from sale to project execution.Liaise with the technical team to develop customized solutions that meet specific client requirements.Collaborate with the marketing team to develop targeted campaigns and promotional materials.5. Reporting & Analysis:Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline in the CRM system.Provide regular sales forecasts, market intelligence reports, and performance reviews to senior management.Qualifications and ExperienceEssential:Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil), or a related field.Experience: A minimum of 5-7 years of proven experience in business development or sales, with at least 3 years specifically in the elevator and escalator industry, construction materials, or capital equipment sales.Technical Knowledge:In-depth understanding of elevator and escalator systems, components, and industry standards.Familiarity with the tender and bidding process for large-scale construction projects.Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications.Sales Acumen: Demonstrated ability to close high-value deals and manage complex sales cycles.Network: An established network of contacts within the construction, real estate, and architectural sectors in the region.Desired:A Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) is a significant advantage.Experience working with or for a major international elevator manufacturer.Knowledge of relevant local regulations and safety standards governing elevator installation and maintenance.Key Competencies and Skills:Exceptional Communication & Presentation Skills: Ability to articulate complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience with confidence and clarity.Strategic Thinking & Negotiation Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a talent for negotiating win-win agreements.Result-Oriented: A driven, self-starter with a proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.Relationship Builder: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with a diverse client base.Resilience and Tenacity: Ability to handle rejection and persist in pursuing long-term opportunities.Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and the Microsoft Office Suite.
