Business Development Manager – Mediterranean & Balkans Leading Global Personal Care Brand | High-Growth Markets Location: UK, Ireland, Netherlands or Spain c£Competitive + Bonus & Full Benefits PackageClient:Join one of the world’s fastest-growing personal care brands, renowned for its market-leading innovation and global footprint.Operating in 50+ markets, the business continues to accelerate its international expansion across EMEA with significant investment in capability, brand activation and local market growth.This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of several high-potential markets across the Mediterranean and Balkans region, driving commercial strategy and expanding distribution across multiple channels.With ambitious plans in place, the business is seeking a commercially sharp, strategically minded Business Development Manager to shape and deliver sustainable growth.Role:As Business Development Manager – Mediterranean & Balkans, you will lead the commercial agenda across Italy, Greece, Turkey and the Czech Republic, with accountability for executing the regional commercial strategy.You will grow physical availability, optimise route-to-market models, and expand distribution across pharmacy, drugstore, baby stores and the grocery channel.Partnering closely with cross-functional teams and distributors, you will develop market roadmaps, identify growth opportunities and unlock new channels and product launches.You will manage day-to-day performance across your markets, ensuring robust forecasting, stock planning, KPI delivery and in-market execution.Your role will include strategic account management—identifying new commercial opportunities, strengthening partnerships, and deepening performance with distributors and key retail customers.You will also support in-market brand activation, shaping shopper-driven initiatives and leveraging category and competitive insights to maximise impact.Using strong commercial analytics, you will influence internally and at customer top-to-top level, using data to guide decision-making and drive effective commercial outcomes.Ideal Candidate:You will bring a minimum of 5 years’ FMCG commercial experience, ideally within business development, export sales or key account management roles.Advanced knowledge of the retail landscape across Italy, Greece, Turkey or the Czech Republic is essential—covering distributors, channel dynamics and market execution.Strong understanding of go-to-market models, including distributor-led, direct and hybrid routes.A proven track record of developing new business, delivering commercial growth and managing high-performing distributor partnerships.Commercially astute with strong P&L ownership, forecasting discipline and financial understanding.Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills, able to influence internal and external stakeholders effectively.A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, growth-oriented, international environment—versatile, resilient and results-driven.Fluent English and fluent Italian are essential.If you believe this opportunity aligns with your experience and ambitions, we’d love to hear from you.
