Position: Business Development Manager – Battery & EV MaterialsLocation: Any City, Japan (Extensive Travel Required)Work Mode: Hybrid / Field-BasedEmployment Type: Full-timeAbout the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Business Development professional with deep expertise in the EV battery materials value chain. The role focuses on driving commercial growth, establishing partnerships, unlocking market opportunities, and positioning our nano-silicon battery materials as a leading solution for EV and energy storage applications.Key Responsibilities Lead business development for nano-silicon materials in EV and battery technology sectors Identify, evaluate, and engage key stakeholders across the value chain (OEMs, cell manufacturers, pack integrators) Convert client interest into commercial approvals and measurable business growth Build and manage a strong sales pipeline for EV and battery-related clients Bridge communication between R&D/product teams and customers, ensuring accurate technical exchange Develop and execute segment-specific strategies for market adoption Represent the organization at trade shows, industry forums, conferences, and exhibitions Monitor market trends to contribute to product positioning, new grade development, and innovationRequired QualificationsGraduate/B.Tech/BE/ME in Chemical / Materials / Mechanical / Process Engineering (preferred) 7–10 years of experience in Sales & Business Development within EV or battery value chain Proven experience in B2B technical sales, channel development & customer acquisition Ability to understand, position, and sell high-tech battery materials and solutions Strong stakeholder engagement, networking, and customer management skills Experience translating customer needs to product development teams Minimum 2 years in one organization (job stability expected) Native Japanese (mandatory)Nice to Have Knowledge of material science, EV technologies, and battery manufacturing Experience in brand positioning and strategic sales planning Prior engagement with OEMs, pack integrators, or cell manufacturersBenefits and Compensation Annual salary structure with monthly payout Incentive / commission: 10–15% based on performance Salary review annually Commuting allowance Complete social insurance coverage Retirement benefits, health check-up, training programs
