Job Description

Our client is a growing building supplies company with operations across BC and Alberta and over $100M in annual revenue. They are recognized for their expertise in Division 8 and Division 10, supplying products to commercial, institutional, and mixed-use residential projects.They are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager with strong industry relationships and proven success in the Div 8 and 10 space. This is a senior-level opportunity for someone with an established book of business, offering flexibility to structure compensation as either commission-only or a mix of base salary and commission. Positions are available in both BC and Alberta.Key Responsibilities:Develop and execute sales strategies to expand relationships with general contractors, developers, and architects in the commercial, institutional, and mixed-use sectors.Identify new business opportunities and manage the entire sales process—from initial contact to closing and post-award follow-up.Collaborate with estimating and operations teams to ensure accurate pricing, timely delivery, and excellent customer service.Promote and position Division 8 and 10 product lines to achieve strong market share across BC and Alberta.Maintain and grow existing accounts through consistent communication, relationship building, and superior client support.Participate in industry events and associations to expand the company’s brand visibility and develop new leads.Track market trends, upcoming projects, and competitor activity to inform business strategy.Ideal Candidate Requirements:Minimum 7 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management within the building supply, Division 8, or Division 10 industry.Established network of contacts with general contractors, developers, and architects in BC and/or Alberta.Strong technical understanding of Division 8 and 10 products, specifications, and installation requirements.Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets and maintaining long-term client relationships.Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.Ability to work independently and travel throughout BC or Alberta as needed.Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.Why This Firm:Established company with a strong reputation and long-standing relationships in the industry.Significant growth potential with expanding operations across both BC and Alberta.Competitive compensation package with flexible structure—commission-only or base plus commission, depending on experience.Comprehensive benefits, phone allowance, and expense coverage.Supportive, collaborative work culture focused on long-term success.Interested candidates are encouraged to send their resumes in Word document format to alex.ciotoiu@torustalent.com.
