Position Title: Business Development ManagerDepartment: OperationsReports to: Operations DirectorBusiness Unit: Continental International General Trading - KuwaitJob Location:  Head Office - Sharq, KuwaitPosition Overview:The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving growth and profitability across the company’s Food & Beverage (F&B) operations in Kuwait. This role focuses on identifying and developing new business opportunities, expanding market presence, establishing strategic partnerships, and ensuring sustained brand visibility in a competitive F&B landscape. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Kuwait’s F&B market trends, consumer preferences, and operational dynamics.Key Accountabilities:Market Expansion & GrowthIdentify new business opportunities, potential locations, and market segments for expansion (franchise, dine-in, delivery, kiosk, or cloud kitchen formats) Conduct detailed market research on local consumer behavior, competitor analysis, and emerging food trends. Develop feasibility studies and business proposals for new concepts or brand collaborations.Strategic Partnerships & Networking Build and maintain relationships with potential partners, landlords, suppliers, and delivery aggregators (Talabat, Keeta, Jahez, Deliveroo & Cari). Negotiate lease agreements, partnerships, and business terms favorable to the company. Represent the brand in trade shows, events, and industry forums to enhance visibility. Sales & Revenue Growth Develop annual business development strategies aligned with overall company goals. Set and achieve revenue targets through new business and concept rollouts. Collaborate with marketing and operations teams to drive campaigns that boost sales and brand engagement. Financial & Performance Management Prepare and monitor business development budgets. Evaluate ROI and profitability of new projects or store openings. Provide regular performance reports and recommendations to the Operations Director.Leadership & CoordinationWork closely with Operations, Marketing, and Finance departments to ensure new ventures are operationally sound and financially viable.Guide the BD team (if applicable) in lead generation, pipeline management, and project execution.Qualifications, Experience, Skills, & CompetenciesBachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field. Minimum 5–7 years of experience in F&B business development or brand expansion within Kuwait or GCC. Strong understanding of Kuwait’s F&B regulations, licensing, and market demographics. Proven record of successful store openings, franchise agreements, or new market entries. Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills. Fluency in English is required; Arabic is an advantage. Valid Kuwait residency and transferable visa preferred Entrepreneurial mindset with a strategic approach to growth. Strong analytical and commercial acumen. Relationship-driven with effective stakeholder management skills.
