Business Development ManagerWe are currently recruiting for a Business Development Manager in our Calgary, or Edmonton, AB offices. About InnoTech Engineering   InnoTech is an engineering company focused on Operational Technology (OT) spanning instrumentation, electrical and automation infrastructure. Our team consists of highly skilled engineers, technologists, and technicians with vast experience, capable of handling both small and large OT projects while also providing support for day-to-day facility operations. InnoTech’s primary services are Controls (PLC, DCS, SCADA), Electrical (low and medium voltage), Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) engineering, and OT Lifecycle Planning and Cybersecurity.  Position Summary: Based in either of InnoTech’s Calgary or Edmonton offices, the Business Development Manager will work closely with the Business Development and Operational Teams to meet corporate sales and growth objectives. Your primary responsibility will be to create and grow customer relations to generate profitable sales and revenue for InnoTech and work collaboratively with the Operations Management team towards achievement of annual business targets.You will be expected to maintain and grow existing accounts by expanding the scope of services provided as well as our geographic reach with each client. You will also take initiative and work independently to attract and grow new clients for InnoTech within target industry sectors as identified in our strategic plan.Strong business acumen and a solid understanding of the technologies and services delivered by InnoTech will be required to achieve success. Experience in the delivery of industrial engineering and related OT/IT services is a highly desired asset for this role. Strong preference will be given to candidates with knowledge and existing relationships within the field of industrial electrical, instrumentation and control system design, delivery, and support.This role will require a moderate amount of travel to customer locations, primarily in Western Canada.Responsibilities: Accountable directly to the VP, Business Development and working as part of a dynamic business development team, your responsibilities will include:Develop, maintain, and grow strong relationships with existing and new client contacts.Develop and execute account management and growth strategies to increase InnoTech’s visibility and revenue share with existing accounts.Identify and develop new strategic business clients and opportunities for Innotech’s service delivery teams, primarily in Western Canada but also with an eye on future geographic expansion to meet corporate growth strategies. Develop and execute individual project/opportunity pursuit strategies, up to and including the development of proposals and overall proposal strategies to position InnoTech to win.Maintain accurate and up to date account, contact and lead / opportunity records in InnoTech’s CRM database.Collaborate with operations teams to develop and execute business plans, identify target markets, customers, and competitive offerings.Participate in conferences, tradeshows, and other customer focused marketing events.Provide input into the creation and management of the corporate sales plan and strategies.Participate in the development of effective sales and marketing material to aid in the pursuit of sales opportunities, including presentations, qualifications documents and proposals.Conduct on-going sales results analysis to ensure that sales plans and strategies are delivering expected results towards achieving annual sales targets.Qualifications and Skills:Technical or Business Degree, diploma, or trade certificate related to InnoTech's business focus.Minimum of five years of outside sales experience, preferably with a focus on services / solutions sales in industrial markets.Solid understanding of instrumentation and electrical design, industrial automation, and other IT/OT related data communications and security services.In addition to the technical components of the role, you should demonstrate the values and disciplines of our organization: a questioning attitude, a desire to improve, accountability, and collaboration, including strong communication skills and the ability to build functional relationships with all stakeholders. Strong written and verbal communication skills; fluency in English is essential. Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, and Teams). Class 5 driver’s license.  Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.  Benefits: At InnoTech, we are proud to provide programs that add value to our people’s lives as they are our greatest asset!
