Position Title: Business Development Manager Organization: LX Hausys America, Inc. Location: Greater Toronto Area Reports To: Sr. Regional Sales Manager Position Summary: Results-driven Business Development Manager for Greater Toronto Area. Proven track record working with architects, designers, builders, and developers to specify and sales Quartz, Adept at managing relationships, understanding client needs, and driving sales growth. Strong background in project management, product specification, and customer service. The Business Development Manager is responsible for generating new relationships with Quartz and Stone Fabricators, Millwork shops and Flooring Contractors as well as maintaining existing relationships by providing customer service, updates, and sample maintenance. Always looking for new venues to promote our company and product, the Business Development Manager uses his/her resources to find new ways to bring sales to the company. This position requires an entrepreneurial spirit, knowledge and understanding of our products, and excellent communication and marketing skills.Role Description: Responsible for project specification and sales in ON (mainly Great Toronto Area).Strong focus on residential and commercial market, i.e. Fabricators, Interior Designers, Architects, Millworks customers, Flooring Contractors etc.Provide excellent customer support to clients by following up requests, answering questions, providing samples, updating towers to gain sales growth throughout market.Obtain understanding of competitors and key trends in our industry and understand marketing dynamics.Establish comfortable and strong relationships with our key clients to gain preferred sales position in their respected establishments.Practice excellent sales and marketing techniques efficiently and effectively.Work in a team environment as well as be self-reliant.Coordinate and process warranty programs with internal team efficiently and effectively.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Achieve annual sales goals based upon business plan.Gain and maintain market share amongst fabricators, kitchen/bath designers and dealers, residential architects, etc.Understand general knowledge of the Partners Portal, with focus on FOC input and follow up.Gain knowledge of ongoing competitive marketing strategies and report to any and all who benefit.Establish new relationships with customers and set up tower displays and sample displays. Update current customers with newer samples/displays and update sales staff with brochures and changes, if any.Provide excellent customer service and ensure customer satisfaction in a timely and effective manner, knowing our chain of command and/or being able to find out if unsure.Foster and build Key customer relationships to create market share growth and preferred customer value.Administrative responsibilities, i.e. Salesforce, Tip-Top, g-UAS for expenses, etc. Effective communication with other Sales team colleagues, Product Management teams, Director, Corporate Offices personnel, etc.Education and Work Experience:Prefer at least 5 years of experience in project specifications and sales of building materials such as quartz, solid surface or porcelain.Direct experience working with architects, designers, builders, developers, contractors, fabricators, kitchen dealers/remodelers, etc.Knowledge and Skills:Excellent oral and written communication and organizational skillsExcellent Microsoft office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook)The energy and focus to achieve goals and be results drivenAbility to work and think independentlyWilling to engage in constructive conflict and criticismAbility to perform as a team player, working with others to achieve a common goalPhysical Demands: Position requires sitting at a desk working on a computer for 25% of timePosition requires minimal lifting up to 45 poundsPosition requires regular and reliable attendancePosition requires travel up to 60-80% of time throughout territory
