Already a market leader in Singapore and Malaysia, HelloRide is now expanding into North Asia, two of the most dynamic and regulation-driven markets in the region.About the RoleThis role is designed for a builder who thrives at the intersection of government relations, strategic partnerships, and commercial expansion. You’ll help HelloRide establish its presence, forge alliances, and shape mobility frameworks that enable long-term success.ResponsibilitiesMarket Development & Government Engagement Establish and maintain relationships with relevant public agencies.Lead discussions on shared mobility regulations, sandbox licensing, and sustainable transport policies.Ensure compliance readiness, timely license applications, and proactive risk management.Represent HelloRide in industry associations and mobility working groups, positioning the brand as a trusted partner in smart mobility policy.Strategic & Commercial Partnerships Identify and negotiate partnerships with real estate, tourism, lifestyle, and corporate sectors to enable deployment zones and co-branded campaigns.Develop partnerships with universities, local governments, or sustainability programs to drive adoption and local community engagement.Explore B2B and B2G opportunities, including leasing models, ad placements, and integration with digital platforms (e.g., payment apps, superapps, or city mobility portals).Co-lead pilot programs and revenue-driving initiatives customized for each market.Internal Coordination & Reporting Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Operations, Marketing, and Legal teams to ensure alignment between on-ground realities and company strategy.Manage regional BD trackers, proposal decks, and performance dashboards.Provide regular market intelligence updates, including competitor analysis and regulatory trends, to the GM and HQ teams.QualificationsBilingual proficiency: Korean or Japanese and English.3–7 years of experience in business development, public affairs, or partnerships in mobility, tech, or government-linked industries.Strong understanding of local government processes and corporate ecosystems in Korea and/or Japan.Proven negotiation and relationship-management skills with both public and private sector stakeholders.Strategic thinker with an entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to operate autonomously in a fast-moving, cross-cultural environment.Bachelor’s degree in Business, International Relations, Public Policy, or Urban Studies (MBA a plus).Preferred SkillsExperience working with mobility operators, urban planners, or transport technology companies.Familiarity with licensing or regulatory frameworks related to shared mobility or EV infrastructure.Prior involvement in market entry or cross-border expansion roles in Japan or Korea.Pay range and compensation packageDirect exposure to senior leadership and the APAC expansion roadmap.Opportunity to build HelloRide’s presence from the ground up.Fast-paced, high-ownership environment that rewards initiative and impact.Competitive compensation and regional travel opportunities.
