Job Description

Key ResponsibilitiesStrategy & Planning: Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy focused on sustainable financial gain and customer satisfaction.Market Research: Conduct in-depth market research to identify new markets, industry trends, customer needs, and competitor activities.Lead Generation: Proactively identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities and prospective clients through networking, cold calling, and other channels.Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with prospective and existing clients, acting as a trusted advisor.Sales & Negotiation: Arrange and lead business meetings, create compelling sales presentations, develop quotes and proposals, and negotiate and close deals, including contract negotiations.Collaboration: Liaise with internal teams (e.g., Finance, Operations, Marketing & Activations) to align strategies, develop effective campaigns, and ensure client needs are met with appropriate solutions.Reporting: Track sales pipeline, revenue, and metrics, preparing regular reports and forecasts for senior management.QualificationsExperience: Proven working experience (typically 3+ years) as a Business Development Manager, Sales Executive, or other relevant sales/marketing role.Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).Track Record: Proven sales track record with demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding targets.Market Knowledge: Strong understanding of market dynamics, industry trends, and competitor activities in the retail services & FMCG sector.Technical Skills: Proficiency in CRM softwares, MS Office Suite, etc.Required Skills & CompetenciesCommunication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present and articulate value propositions clearly.Negotiation: Sharp negotiation and persuasive skills.Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically, see the "bigger picture," and translate broad goals into actionable plans.Interpersonal: Strong networking skills and the ability to build rapport quickly with diverse clients and stakeholders.Tenacity & Drive: A strong drive to seek new business, overcome objections, and meet demanding targets.Organization: Excellent time management, organizational, and project management skills.
