ACM Staffing is supporting a leading international service provider in the renewable energy sector to hire a Business Development Manager for the Italian market. The company focuses on operations & maintenance (O&M) and engineering/EPC for utility-scale photovoltaic assets, and also offers a proprietary software platform for renewable asset management.The Opportunity This role is for a commercially driven BD professional who understands the solar/renewables space in Italy and can convert market insight into revenue. You’ll drive market development in Italy and work closely with senior leadership and technical teams.Key responsibilities:Develop and execute a growth strategy focused on both financial performance and customer satisfactionResearch and identify new markets, segments and customer needs in ItalyActively prospect (cold calling, social selling, networking) and convert inbound leads from web enquiries, events and the existing networkPrepare and negotiate offers, contracts, RFIs/RFPs and tender responsesManage the full sales cycle: discovery, proposals, presentations/demos, pricing & scope negotiations, contract close and handoverMaintain and grow relationships with existing clients for cross-sell, upsell and feedbackTrack activities, pipeline, revenue and invoicing via the company CRMCollaborate with marketing on targeted campaigns, materials and trade show strategyEngage with subcontractors/third parties where needed to build competitive offersWhat "Success" Looks Like (First 12 Months) The hire will be considered successful if they have:Secured approx. 200 MW in O&M contractsSecured approx. 5 MW in EPC contractsBuilt a visible, qualified pipeline in Italy and strengthened the company’s position with key asset owners and developersIdeal Profile: 3–4 years’ business development experience in renewables (ideally solar)Strong understanding of the solar/renewables market, customer challenges and buying cyclesMix of existing Italian solar network and pure BD skill (around 50/50)Comfortable owning a structured outreach plan and working independentlyExperience preparing proposals, tenders and negotiating commercial contractsExcellent English; Italian strongly preferredStrong presentation and written communication skillsCRM-literate, organized, and disciplined with pipeline and activity managementHigh integrity, able to balance short-term wins with long-term relationshipsLocation & Package: Base salary / OTE: Flexible and dependent on experience – this will align with candidate expectations and market conditionsLocation: Milan – frequent presence in the office is required, with some domestic and occasional European travelTo apply, please apply through LinkedIn or email your CV to alex@acmstaffing.co.uk#BusinessDevelopmentManager #BDManager #SalesJobs #CommercialRoles #SolarJobs #RenewableEnergyJobs #SolarOandM #SolarEPC #PVJobs #CleanEnergyJobs #EnergyTransition #ItalyJobs #MilanJobs #LavoroItalia #LavoroMilano #B2BSales #EnergySales #TechnicalSales #UtilityScaleSolar #ApplyNow #NowHiring
