Business Development Manager - Originations Remote (GTA-based)Base salary + commissions (high earning potential)Our client is looking for a driven and relationship-focused BD Manager to join their Originations team. This is a sales-focused mortgage origination role, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, commission-driven environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating new business, structuring mortgage solutions, and managing the full client relationship cycle.Key Responsibilities:Proactively source and originate new mortgage opportunities through direct outreach, networking, and referrals.Build, maintain, and expand a pipeline of commercial and high-value residential mortgage clients.Meet clients and referral partners in person across the GTA to present financing solutions and build strong relationships.Assess borrower needs and structure financing packages that align with lender and investor guidelines.Collaborate with underwriting and credit teams to prepare and submit complete loan packages.Negotiate terms and manage client communications from initial engagement through to deal closing.Maintain and develop relationships with existing clients to drive repeat business and referrals.Track activity, conversion rates, and performance metrics using CRM and reporting tools.Represent the firm professionally at industry events, networking sessions, and client presentations.Stay up to date with market trends, lending products, and regulatory developments.Qualifications:Mortgage Agent Level 2 License, or Level 1 License held for a minimum of 12 months (required).Proven record of sales success and deal origination within the mortgage or lending industry.Understanding of commercial and high-value residential mortgage products.Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills — comfortable pitching and building relationships in person.Valid driver’s license and reliable access to a vehicle (required for client meetings across the GTA).Based within the Greater Toronto Area with the ability to travel for meetings and networking events.Highly motivated, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently while achieving team goals.Strong organizational and time management skills; comfortable managing multiple active deals at once.If you are interested in learning more about this opportunity, please apply now.
