Business Intelligence Developer

Work Setup: Remote  Work Shift: Monday to Friday 11:00 AM-8:00 PM MNLPOSITION OVERVIEW:Be Responsible for migrating our system data warehouse to Google’s BigQuery and Google DataFlow / Apache Beam. To manage ongoing business intelligence needs and analyze and develop new requirements. Troubleshoot issues and ensure efficient and timely resolution to these, communicating with key stakeholders as neededKEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS: Job duties are performed accurately and within strict timelines.Clear, concise communication internally and externally.Demonstrates a high degree of integrity and professionalism.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Business Requirements & Analysis Experience:Migrate the existing data warehouse and batch ETL process to BigQuery / DataFlow.Collaborates with internal and external customers, as well as IT partners, to develop and analyze business intelligence needs.Interprets business requirements and determines optimum BI solutions to meet needs.Scope and estimate the work involved in producing new reports and dashboards.Troubleshoot problems with existing reports / ETL processes, and develop solutions.Information and Quality Assurance:Creates data quality tickets, as needed.Verifies that the data collected is within the required quality standards.Recommend quality metrics and ensure quality metrics are documented and tracked.Research/Evaluation:Identifies and provides input to new technology opportunities that will have an impact on the enterprise-wide BI systems.Provides input into business requirements for the design of solutions.Provides input to the development of information quality metrics.QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:Typically requires 5-7 years of Business Intelligence or related technical experience.Knowledge of one or more business functional areas.A college degree is preferred.Strong experience with Google’s BigQuery, Google DataFlow / Apache BeamExperience migrating star schema data warehouses to BigQueryExperience migrating older ETL systems to Apache BeamDatabase extraction, analysis, and testing as part of data assuranceExperience with Microsoft Power BI or similar reporting applicationsExperience creating reports and analytical dashboardsData anonymizationContinuous integration & deployment experience (GIT, JIRA, Atlassian, other)Excellent organization and administration skillsFluent in English (read, write, and speak).Able to build and maintain strong relationships with staff and external customers where required.Good communicator and able to provide clear feedback to the clients and team.Provides guidance and problem-solving assistance to other team members.Well-dressed, professional appearance, with a confident, positive, and respectful manner.Be highly motivated, keen to succeed, and able to manage relationships, service, and team-oriented.Have good written and verbal communication skills.Able to ‘multi-task’ and manage multiple issues and projects.Presents as a professional and knowledgeable individual with good listening skills and high levels of empathy with others.Have high levels of enthusiasm and energyShows flexibility in approach and can change and adapt to circumstances
