This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on expertise in data visualization, reporting, and infrastructure. Partnering closely with General Managers, the Transformation team, and functional leaders across sales, operations, procurement, and finance, the BI Lead will design and deliver analytics solutions that improve sales performance, optimize supply chain efficiency, and reduce costs. The incumbent will oversee the development and governance of data pipelines, integration from ERP and Salesforce systems, and the creation of real-time Tableau dashboards, ensuring accuracy, scalability, and compliance with Canadian and U.S. data regulations. Acting as both a strategic advisor and technical expert, the BI Lead will champion data literacy, train leaders on BI tools, and foster cross-company collaboration to align BI initiatives with business goals. This role requires a balance of technical proficiency, strong communication, and the ability to lead independently in a fast-paced, distribution-focused environment.ResponsibilitiesLeadership & StrategyChampion and take full ownership of Business Intelligence initiatives, providing strategic leadership and directionDevelop analytics solutions tailored to distribution operations with key internal stakeholders.Collaborate with General Managers and Transformation team to define KPIs and reporting frameworks for sales, logistics, and inventory.Align BI strategy with operational and business goals.Data Visualization & ReportingDevelop and maintain Tableau dashboards for real-time monitoring of sales, supply chain metrics, and warehouse performance.Ensure data accuracy and consistency across all reporting layers.Provide actionable insights to improve sales optimization, operational efficiency and reduce costs.Operational CollaborationWork in close partnership with BI counterparts across group companies to ensure alignment and knowledge sharingPartner with sales, operations, procurement & purchasing, and finance teams to understand data needs.Support demand forecasting and capacity planning through data analysis.Train leadership and key functional staff on using Tableau dashboards effectively.Data Infrastructure & GovernanceOversee data integration from ERP, SalesForce, and other systems.Ensure compliance with Canadian and US data privacy and industry-specific regulations.Optimize ETL processes and data models for performance and scalability.Proficiency in SQL Server technologies (TSQL, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, Data Mining)RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.5+ years of BI experience, with preferably 2 years in manufacturing or distribution environments.Advanced Tableau/Power BI skills.Strong SQL and data modeling experience.Familiarity with ERP systems and SalesForce.Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or supply chain optimization.Experience with Python or R for advanced analytics.Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.Ability to lead cross-functional projects in a fast-paced environment.Exercise full autonomy in managing the BI function, including independently prioritizing tasks, setting schedules, and driving initiatives to completion
