Business Intelligence Technical Lead

We’re looking for a Business Intelligence Technical Lead to join our Business Insights and Analytics team at MBPS. In this role, you are expected to collaborate closely to the business and project teams in order to transform data into insights, to recommend appropriate visualizations and reporting solutions, and to build a high-performing team of data analytics professionals.Key ResponsibilitiesWorking with the AVP Portfolio Management & Oversight, and other colleagues & partners, understand Asia PMO Reporting business, opportunities and pain points, and propose ways we can use data and analytics to improve reporting, generate insights, support business goals, and solve problemsManage governance of Power Platform tools across environments, including UAT and Production.Oversee backlog items and ensure alignment with team standards and protocols.Help develop talent by identifying action items and areas for improvement for team members.Process new reporting, analytics, dashboard requests + lead on their deliveryLeverage Manulife’s available technology to build or improve easy-to-use and sustainable solutionsPropose solutions to achieve our business objectivesStreamline data collection methods to create automated, standardized and easy-to-use routinesAssess our current level of data & analytics maturity, as well as our current technical infrastructure (eg: sources, ingestion, transformation, storage, augmentation, presentation, etc), and recommend ways to optimizeProactively recommend reporting, analytics & BI best practices, and also stay abreast of what else is happening internally & externally in these areasCoordinate with our key internal partners as neededAssist stakeholders with reporting & analytics tool adoption as neededLead or support other reporting & analytics activitiesRequired QualificationsEducation: Bachelor's Degree holders are welcome to applyExperience: At least seven years of extensive experience in Power Platforms (especially Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate) and other Business Intelligence tools, big data, and Azure platformsHybrid Work Arrangement: Amenability and readiness to work onsite and from home anytime (dependent on business need AND/OR current external environment/situation)Shift Schedule (Morning): Amenability to work on the assigned schedule (dependent on business need)Minimum Skills to Hire/Must Haves:Demonstrate advanced knowledge of reports and dashboard development in multiple BI platforms: Power Platforms, SQL, Data LakeAbility to identify and resolve issues, and recommend best visualizations and reporting solutions based on reporting requirementsAbility to coach and provide support to subordinates, project teams, and stakeholdersPlanning and organizational skills, including ability to prepare schedules and communicate status of overall development effortStrong communication and interpersonal skillsPower BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300) CertifiedPower Platform Fundamentals (PL-900) CertifiedWhen You Join Our TeamWe’ll empower you to learn and grow the career you want.We’ll recognize and support you in a flexible environment where well-being and inclusion are more than just words.As part of our global team, we’ll support you in shaping the future you want to see.
