DescriptionRESPONSIBILITIES:Lead and Drive Financial ExcellenceLead and prepare the monthly rolling financial estimate for the Brand(s).Discuss and review monthly Profit & Loss (P&L) estimates and sales commentaries with Brand Managers and ensure timely and accurate reporting.Align financial estimate with Demand/Supply plans.Track and review with Brands’ actual monthly Net/Retail Sales and P&L performance.Be able to articulate clearly the Brands’ top-line as well as financial performance to senior management.Highlight over or under spending areas for prompt follow up by Brand Managers.Play an innovative and active role in providing financial advice and assistance to brands on their business issues.Preparation of the annual Budget from Net/Retail Sales and full P&L statement (i.e. Gross Sales to Net Operating Profit).Perform Quarterly Profitability studies on Category/Channel/Retailer segments.Initiate and lead a 3-Year Strategic planning exercise for the Brand(s).Perform competitor watch and market trending so as to highlight risk and opportunities in store ranking and market share.Manage the Retailers review presentation preparation and work with brands to develop their store targets.Lead and prepare Capital Expenditure Requests for new store/counter construction, channel/partner penetration and special projects. And to conduct Post-Mortem after implementation.Evaluate the profitability of marketing campaigns/events and product launches.Financial assessment of business development opportunities.Lead and drive Brands’ estimate/plans during monthly Sales & Inventory Optimization reviews.Lead and Drive Operational EffectivenessIdentify the business financial reporting needs and design a robust process/system to provide relevant business information on a timely basis.Standardization of sales reporting and analysis.Review and enhance business and financial processes where necessary.Constantly seek to value-add to current processes and information systems.OthersAbility to communicate financial perspective on business issues to brands in their language.Maintain a good knowledge of the business environment so as to be able to provide an independent evaluation of brands’ financial forecast and assessment of financial risk or opportunities.Must be comfortable working with ambiguity.QualificationsDegree in Accountancy, preferably with a certified CPA.Minimum 6+ years of relevant experience with background in accounting & audit and financial analysis experience in an MNC.Hands-on experience in Hyperion, SAP, Business Objects/Warehouse and Cognos an advantage.High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.Be equally effective working with high volume of details as well as providing high level summaries.Ability to engage and manage relationships across all levels of stakeholders (from floor to senior management).Ability to work in a matrix environment and perform under pressure.
