Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve overseeing critical clearing deadlines to ensure trades are processed accurately and on time. You will execute settlement activities with precision while handling contract deliveries such as cash settlements and FX transactions. By performing meticulous reconciliations of trades and positions each day, you will help maintain operational integrity. Your attention to detail will be essential when updating static data within internal systems. Compliance is central to this role; you will ensure all activities meet MAS and SGX regulations. You'll also have the opportunity to contribute ideas for process improvements that drive efficiency across the department. Reporting duties will keep stakeholders informed of key developments while your collaborative approach ensures smooth communication between trading desks, risk teams, compliance officers, and other operational units.Manage clearing deadlines efficiently by ensuring all trades are processed promptly in accordance with regulatory, client, and company requirements.Execute daily settlement activities for exchange-traded derivatives, guaranteeing timely and accurate completion of all trade settlements.Oversee the contract delivery process including cash settlement, FX delivery, and option exercise or assignment to ensure smooth operations.Perform thorough daily reconciliations of trades, positions, and cash flows while investigating and resolving any discrepancies or exceptions that arise.Maintain static data within internal systems such as client account openings or closures, contract setup, and updates to fee or commission rates.Ensure all settlement activities strictly comply with local regulatory requirements, particularly those set by MAS and SGX.Identify opportunities to enhance settlement processes and systems, contributing ideas that increase efficiency and reduce operational risk.Prepare and submit detailed daily, weekly, and monthly reports on settlement activities for both internal stakeholders and external regulators as required.Collaborate closely with trading, risk management, compliance, and other operational teams to guarantee smooth end-to-end processing of trades.What you bring:To excel as a Futures Operations Associate in this esteemed financial institution's Futures Clearing Department in Singapore, you will bring substantial experience gained from roles within the futures industry-particularly those involving clearing & settlements functions. You possess deep familiarity with regulatory frameworks set by MAS and SGX which allows you to navigate complex compliance requirements confidently. Your fluency in both English and Mandarin enables clear communication with diverse stakeholders throughout Greater China. Beyond technical expertise in reconciliation processes or system usage (such as SGX CW2 or ION XTP), your enthusiasm for teamwork stands out; you value collaboration as much as independent initiative.
