We are looking for individuals who are ambitious about making a strong contribution to FLEET’s short and long-term sustainable growth – whether you are dealing directly with clients or working in a role supporting the business, such as technology, legal or communications.Job Position Summary Deals with category leads for supply of requested items of required on board.Carefully takes care of the purchase flow to ensure the desired result which includes processing requisitionsDaily coordination with vessels to ensure prompt information & immediately address queries and/or complaintsContinuously improve service quality and productivity levels. Proactively share best practices across the teamsCoordinates with vessel, agents and local ship chandlers for the smooth delivery of ordersResolves issues regarding supply as raised directly by the vesselProvides feedback to Captain and Superintendent regarding local ship chandler for budget controlProcess invoices for paymentKey Roles and Responsibilities Check & analyze requisitions based on the requirement of stakeholdersComply with available frame agreements prices pre-selected by the vesselIssue the Purchase Order (PO) with all the required details (i.e. ETB, agent details) once approved (To be confirmed)Ensure that supplier issues Order confirmationFollow up on the delivery two days before of ETBBuyer performs day to day purchasing related activities to ensure safe and timely delivery of requisitions ordered by the vessel with due consideration to the criticality of the itemResponds to the requisitions raised by vessels in company’s purchase module which is Oracle Supply ChainCommunicates with Category leads regarding prices and deliveriesAchieves the goal of cost efficient, safe & timely operations of vessels in accordance with company policy & proceduresRelationshipINTERNAL:Procurement Team (based in Manila)EXTERNAL: Vendors/SuppliersJob Experience, Functional Knowledge and Qualifications Degree holder of any faculty with minimum 1 – 3 years of relevant work experience in procurement, preferably shipping industry.IT literate for working with advanced procurement systemsGood interpersonal & stakeholder management skills with ability to communicate at all levelsHigh stress level, being comfortable handling numerous tasks within limited timeframes in a structured manner with eye for the detailStrong-minded with robust personalityFresh graduate will also be consideredFluent in EnglishCompetencies: Analysis and Problem SolvingListening and CommunicatingCollaboration, Inclusion and TeamworkPlanning and OrganizingInitiativeAccountabilityFleet Management Limited is committed to diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace.
