Job DescriptionPosition Name - BuyerEducation - Diploma/BE MechLocation - PuneGrade – P3Experience – 8 To 10 YearsRoles & Responsibilities - Review indent, drawing & understand technical requirements of items to be procured.Evaluation of the offers received from vendors (In case of non-RC items)Techno-commercial negotiation with suppliersTimely loading of the item to the respective vendor with respect to capacity, capability.Finalize order / contract with supplier.Buying of items as per applicable ITP / Code / Specifications / Drawing / Vendor list.Problem solving in collaboration with Engineering, Projects, QAC & adhere to the procurement processes and systems.Tracking progress of orders & ensure timely delivery of committed items.Internal coordination with various departments for the smooth execution of the order.Review, monitoring and timely execution of deliverables (Effective expediting)Timely escalationVendor development and maintaining vendor relationships to achieve on time performance.Adherences to Project schedules & timelines.Critical Competencies For The JobKnowledge of various boiler pressure parts like coils, water wall panels, piping etcKnowledge of various NDT processes applicable to pressure partsKnowledge of fabrication & various welding processes.Knowledge of IBR, ASME & EN standards applicable to pressure parts & pipingUnderstanding of commercial & taxation (GST) & framing contracts.Should be aware of best sourcing practices, fair pricing, negotiation & costing,Knowledge of ERP / LN / MS Office.Cross functional collaboration.Good in interpersonal communication.
