These CAD files will be used to drive a water jet cutting machine. This position involves direct interaction with customers and requires both technical and communication skills. Over time, with training, the role will expand to include quoting and pricing responsibilities.Duties/ResponsibilitiesCreate accurate 2D/3D AutoCAD models and drawings for metal partsInterpret sketches, customer drawings, or verbal instructions and convert them into production-ready CAD filesPrepare digital files compatible with water jet cutting equipmentCommunicate directly with customers to clarify design requirementsCollaborate with internal team members to ensure accuracy and meet production timelinesMaintain and organize CAD file librariesAssist with pricing and quoting projects following trainingRequired Skills/AbilitiesProficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software (2D and 3D)Ability to interpret technical sketches and mechanical drawingsStrong communication and interpersonal skills for customer interactionTechnologically proficient and adaptable to learning new software and toolsMechanically inclined with an understanding of industrial materials and fabrication processesDetail-oriented and capable of handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environmentHigh school diploma or GED required; technical certifications are a plus
