Pay$22.00/hr Starting; $23.56/hr After Completion of Level 1 (Around 90 Days)Shift3rd Shift; 6p-6a, 3 days one week and 4 days the next; includes every other weekendCompany OverviewUniversal Alloy Corporation (UAC) is a global leader in the manufacture of aerospace products. UAC specializes in 2000- and 7000-series alloys and offers a full range of alloys and tempers that can be tailored to a customers particular application.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesExercise and promote safetyUnderstand and use tools required to complete tasksUnderstand print tolerances and how to applyMove material to the sawUse proper lifting techniquesUnderstand and read a hard cardCut material and understand the following: sample standards, finished piece size, tolerances, walk out the part to know first and last cutMark productKnow saw control menusOperate saw in manual and autoSend programsAdjust saw as neededIdentify scrap pieces and log into the systemFill out required forms and logsIdentify quality defectsKnow the R codes (scrap codes)Perform checks: conductivity, cut length, visual, weight, squarenessOther duties as assignedQualificationsMinimum Education: HS Diploma or GED preferredMinimum Experience: NoneCertifications Required: Obtained during new hire orientationKnowledge, Skills, And AbilitiesCommunication Skills: Ability to effectively listen and communicate ideas and thoughts to others; able to assimilate ideas originated by othersMathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions and decimalsReasoning Skills: Ability to carry out and communicate written and/or oral instructionsPhysical Abilities: Regularly required to stand, walk and use hands; must be able to lift 50 pounds at any time during his/her shift; the physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job; reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functionsWorking ConditionsSchedule: 3rd ShiftSafetyAll UAC employees must know and follow job safety procedures, attend required health and safety training, proactively promote safety at work, and promptly report actual and potential accidents and injuries.
