Job Description
The CapEx Sourcing Manager is responsible for developing, communicating and executing the CapEx sourcing strategy to optimize the total Cost of Ownership. You will be responsible for leading a cross functional team in managing the total CapEx investment cost with our partners for both off-the-shelf and customized manufacturing and testing equipment to enable our future products and technologies. In this role, you will lead the cross-functional effort to identify, engage and enable the best partners. You will be responsible for developing the strategic relationship with our partners, including negotiating commercial agreements, negotiating cost, optimizing the collaboration between the teams and developing long term strategy to grow a robust partnership. You will work closely with Strategic Sourcing, Product operations, Hardware engineering, Tooling Engineering, Manufacturing Design Engineering, DFx, Test Engineering and other cross-functional teams to create a collaborative and innovative partnership.CapEx Sourcing Manager Responsibilities:Develop, communicate and execute Reality Labs global equipment sourcing and management strategyIdentify and engage the CAPEX equipment partners to enable cutting-edge technologies and products with best-in-class quality, delivery and costDevelop partner selection strategy with cross-functional stakeholders, including RFQ/RFP, sourcing strategy and final supplier selectionNegotiate commercial agreements to meet technical, operational and commercial requirements, including after-sales servicesNegotiate NRE and unit cost to ensure best in class cost for our products. Actively look for cost optimization opportunities and lead cross-functional effort to achieve itActively drive analysis of historical spend data and suggest savings opportunities maximizing financial impact for future products and provide expertise for developing budgetsDevelop relationships with key stakeholders to identify opportunities to leverage our partners’ capability to grow businessEnable the cross-functional team to collaborate with their counterparts on the partner side to ensure open, efficient and professional relationshipsParticipate in hiring, training, developing, and share best practices in executing CAPEX management strategy and achieving significant cost improvementsUp to 20% travel may be required (domestic/international)Minimum Qualifications:Engineering or Technical BS degree7+ years of experience in custom equipment and fixture development & sourcing, in the consumer electronics industryExperience in injection molding & tooling cost analysisExperience in supplier evaluation/selection, assessing technical specifications, functional features and cost trade-offsExperience with custom equipment should cost models, cost negotiation and supply base managementExperience with pricing and sourcing of key equipment componentsUnderstanding of factory operations in the consumer electronics industryProgram management, and cross-functional teamwork experiencePreferred Qualifications:Proven track record of driving a structured, result-oriented negotiation process and outstanding negotiation resultsExperience with sourcing equipment for small form factor devices e.g. Wearable products, is strongly preferredAbout Meta:Meta builds technologies that help people connect, find communities, and grow businesses.
