📍Location: Remote (United States)🏦Firm: Private Credit / Alternative Investment PlatformAbout the Role:Our client, a leading private credit and alternatives investment platform, is seeking a Managing Director of Capital Markets to lead the firm’s financing & lender relationship efforts.This is a senior, strategic position responsible for executing and managing financing relationships across the firm’s investment vehicles and portfolio companies. The role offers the opportunity to work closely with senior investment professionals, fund finance & portfolio management teams to optimize the firm’s capital structure and enhance access to private credit markets.The Capital Markets professional will oversee the arrangement, negotiation, and execution of debt facilities and financing solutions that support the firm’s ongoing investment activities. This individual will be ensuring efficient, well-structured capital markets execution & serving as a bridge between internal deal teams and external lending partners.Key Responsibilities:Lead the execution, structuring, and negotiation of debt facilities across fund-level and portfolio-level financings.Maintain and strengthen relationships with private credit funds, direct lenders, BDCs, and institutional financing partners.Coordinate with internal deal teams on capital structure optimization and leverage analysis for new and existing investments.Manage amendments, extensions, and refinancings for existing facilities.Partner with finance, legal, and compliance teams to ensure efficient execution, documentation, and covenant management.Monitor and analyze debt market trends, pricing levels, and lender appetite to inform strategic decisions.Support senior management in capital strategy planning and balance sheet management.Serve as an internal subject matter expert on financing terms, structures, and lender relationships.Qualifications:12+ years of experience in capital markets, structured finance, leveraged finance, or debt advisory, ideally within private credit, private equity, or alternative asset management.Deep understanding of credit structures, documentation, and lender dynamics.Established network within the private credit and institutional lending community.Proven track record in executing complex financing transactions.Strong negotiation and analytical skills, with attention to detail and commercial judgment.Highly collaborative and comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders across the firm.Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related discipline; MBA or CFA preferred.Why This Role?:✅ Opportunity to shape the firm’s financing and capital strategy across multiple platforms.✅ Exposure to diverse credit structures and sophisticated institutional lenders.✅ Collaborative, entrepreneurial culture with direct access to senior leadership.✅ Competitive compensation and long-term incentive opportunity.✅ Preference for candidates based in NYC or Chicago, but open to remote for exceptional talent.
