We are representing a globally recognized FORTUNE 500 Aerospace and Defense organization who is actively seeking a Plant Operations Manager due to a recent promotion. This role will be responsible for leading the Plant Production function while working to implement world class processes in an effort to improve plant KPI's and deliverables. POSITION OVERVIEWReporting to the Director of Operations, this candidate will lead (4) direct reports within a continuous manufacturing Metals/Foundry environment. Complete ownership over meeting manufacturing deliverables and budget. Provide direction and leadership consistent with company and department business plan goals.
Establish Production KPI's, and deliverablesDirect and drive the utilization of problem solving methods for related plant and customer issues. Direct department process improvements and corrective actions. Provide key input into the development of the department strategic business plan and identify and track key measurables to support the department business plan goals. POSITION REQUIREMENTSBachelor's Degree is required for considerationCandidate must have at least 2-5 years of Operations/Production/Engineering leadership experience for consideration with Metals manufacturing environment (Casting, Forging, Melt, etc. .
)Candidate should be well versed in Operational Excellence, Lean Manufacturing, and/or Continuous Improvement with strong approach to problem solvingMetals/Foundry manufacturing experienced preferred.
