Job Description

Cooperidge Consulting Firm is seeking a Cardiac Electrophysiology (EP) Technologist for a top Healthcare client.This highly specialized role assists physicians in the Cath/EP Lab with diagnosing and treating complex cardiac arrhythmias and peripheral vascular disease. The Technologist specializes in the procedural care of patients undergoing PTCA, stent placement, IABP placement, and EP device implants/ablations, requiring advanced knowledge of corresponding devices and protocols.Job ResponsibilitiesAssist physicians directly in the Cardiac Catheterization (Cath) and Electrophysiology (EP) Lab during diagnostic and interventional proceduresSpecialize in the care of patients undergoing procedures such as PTCA, stent placement, and Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP) placementManage and assist with specialized EP procedures, including device implantation and ablations, utilizing expert knowledge of required equipmentPrepare the patient and procedure room, ensuring all equipment is operational and sterile protocols are strictly followedMonitor patient vital signs and procedural parameters, communicating critical changes to the physician and care team immediatelyMaintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of all procedural details, equipment settings, and patient responsesCollaborate effectively with the interdisciplinary team to ensure efficient patient throughput and excellent procedural outcomesRequirementsEducationGraduation from a CAAHEP accredited program is requiredExperienceMinimum of two (2) years of Electrophysiology (EP) experience is requiredKnowledge of EP and ablation devices is mandatoryAcute care experience is not strictly required but is strongly preferredCertifications/LicensesRequired Certifications (one of the following):Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES)Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS)Cardiovascular Technologist (CV Tech)Registered Radiographer (ARRT)Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is requiredCurrent Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is requiredSkillsAdvanced technical knowledge of EP, ablation devices, and cardiac/vascular interventional procedures (PTCA, stenting, IABP)Proven ability to work autonomously and assist physicians effectively in a high-stress procedural environmentBenefitsCompetitive pay with opportunities for overtime and weekend shiftsComprehensive medical, dental, and vision insuranceLife insurance and disability coverage401(k) retirement plan with employer matchPaid time off — vacation, sick leave, and holidaysContinuing education and professional development opportunitiesSupportive, team-oriented work environment
