Cards & Payments Solution Architect (Contract – 6 to 9 Months)Location: 2 months on-site in Azerbaijan (all travel and accommodation costs covered by the client), followed by remote work for the remaining project duration.Project Duration: 6–9 monthsAbout the RoleWe are looking for a Credit Card Management System Expert with strong hands-on experience in end-to-end credit card system implementations. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of credit and lending processes, with the ability to design, analyze, and deliver scalable technical solutions in collaboration with both business and technical teams.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and participate in end-to-end credit card management system projects, ensuring smooth integration and operation.Conduct system analysis, prepare technical documentation, and align designs with business requirements.Design and implement data models tailored for credit card systems.Work closely with business stakeholders to gather, refine, and translate functional requirements into technical specifications.Ensure system scalability, performance, and security following modern architectural standards.Provide expertise in core processes such as:Processing & interaction with core banking systemsEnd-of-day processingInterest calculation and delinquency handlingPayment schedules and re-schedulesRequirementsMinimum 7 years of overall professional experience.At least 3–5 years dedicated to the credit or cards business domain, working as a Developer, Business Analyst, or Architect.Proven hands-on experience with real and recent credit card management system implementations.Strong understanding of credit card core processes and lending management systems.Deep knowledge of architectural patterns such as microservices, serverless, and event-driven architectures.Proficiency in designing high-availability, high-performance, and secure systems.Excellent communication and documentation skills (technical and business).Ability to work on-site in Azerbaijan for the first 2 months of the project.Nice to HaveExperience with core banking platforms such as FlexCube, Temenos, etc.Experience with payment platforms such as OpenWay, Compass, or Ocean.Hands-on involvement in system integration projects, especially with OpenWay and FlexCube.
