Career Medical Officer - Emergency DepartmentSalary Classification: Career Medical Officer Grade 1 & 2, Year 1-4.Casual positions availableThe RoleYou will be responsible for the provision of safe, effective and appropriate patient centred medical care in a team-based emergency department. At Calvary Mater Newcastle (CMN), the main point of difference for our emergency department is specialised focus on general medicine, oncology and haematology, palliative care, psychiatric and clinical toxicology presentations.If you are seeking a position as a CMO, working in a team who understands the complexity of balancing work and personal priorities, then this is the position for you. We are open to providing you with flexibility around your working hours, whether it is part time, weekends only, short shifts or school hours. We are also flexible to focus on your professional areas of interest such as seeing main floor patients and resuscitation level patients or only seeing the ambulatory care/fast track type patient or working primarily in our short stay ward managing short term emergency department admitted patients and discharge planning.
